Timeline

  • The first founding meeting on May 3, 2018. The idea was based on the existing student initiative AKAMAV at TU Braunschweig.
  • Founding of ADDI on 05 june 2018.
  • April 2019 fist participation in Design, Build & Fly (DBF)
  • October 2019 first participation in the International Micro Air Vehicle Conference and Competition (IMAV) in Madrid
  • DBF 2020 in Wichita, Kansas (USA) [April 2020]
  • Was cancelled due to the CoVid-19 pandemic. Instead, a friendly competition with FH Joanneum in Graz took place.
  • Mai 2020 participation in Smart Green Island Makeathon on Gran Canaria.
  • IMAV 2021 / Endurance [Mai 2021]
  • The solar-powered plane was originally build for IMAV (International Micro Air Vehicle Conference and Competition)2021 but spun off into its own internal project.
  • Project Aerodynamix [September 2021]
  • Trainingsworkshop für Vereinsmitglieder mit dem Ziel alle Konstruktionsmaßnahmen eines UAV’s (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) und anschließende Flugstunden auf Mallorca.

  • Winner Rotorthon 2021 – Airceleration [November 2021]
  • In this year the challenge was developing an inter-modal transport system to combine 2D- and 3D systens, Our team could convince the organizers and won the competition.
  • Smart Green Islan Makeathon [October 2021]
  • Development of UAV concepts for fighting wildfires. The project took place on Gran Canaria.

  • First place at Air Cargo Challenge 2022 [July 2022]
  • We took first place in the Air Cargo Challenge 2022 in Munich. The aim of the contest was to transport blood bags. As a result of our victory, we will be in charge of the next challenge, which takes place in Aachen.

  • First Place in Design, Build & Fly [April 2023]
  • We took first place at the world's largest competition for model aircraft construction. The event took place this year in Tucson, Arizona, where we travelled to with 10 members.

  • International Micro Air Vehicle Competition [September 2023]
  • Development of autonomous flying multicopters; this year's theme: "Search and Rescue"; for this we had to develop software and hardware which are tailored to the different autonomous challenges.

  • Sperling-Project [May– November 2023]
  • Workshop for new members; learning carbon composite construction with a simple model aircraft
